Dandelion Recipes

Dandelion greens are in season late spring and early summer.  Purchase fresh looking greens, soak them in a biodegradable produce wash and rinse well.  The greens will keep a few days in the refrigerator.  

 

Dandelion Alkalizer

1/2 bunch of dandelion greens 
10 carrots
Feed bunched-up dandelion greens and carrots into a juicer

Dandelion Flower Tea

8 Dandelion flowers
12 oz. Steam Distilled water
Raw, Unfiltered Honey to taste
Pour boiling water over flowers and steep for five minutes. Add honey.

 

 

 

Liver Tonic

1/2 bunch dandelion greens
4 cups spinach
4 carrots
1/2 cucumber
5 stalks celery
1/2 lemon, peeled

Feed bunched-up dandelion greens and spinach into a juicer. Next, add the cucumber, celery and lemon, adding the carrots at the end to push the ingredients through the juicer.

 

Zip into Spring with Dandelion Greens

2 cups pineapple, chunks
3 radishes
Handful of dandelion greens
Feed pineapple chunks, dandelion greens and radishes in juicer.
